We had our orientation walk through on Tuesday, and our independent inspection completed on Wednesday. The orientation itself explained where breakers, GFI interrupt switches, cable terminals are, and also an opportunity for us to point out what we're not happy with and for them to correct.
Our private inspection was also performed with results coming out on the Friday, but while we were there the inspectors pointed out some minor issues, some items that should be fixed and two show stoppers - fortunately the show stoppers were fed back to Jason immediately and just as quickly were rectified - so kudos to getting them fixed, but without a private inspection we would never have known - so if we ever wondered did we really need to spend the money, now we know - yes!
Our timeline now is:
2nd December -> 8th December: Patiently wait (yeah right)
9th December: Final Walk through 9am, Closing Attorneys office 11.30am, keys and moving truck 1pm...

Inside after our orientation the house filled up with tape and dry wall corrections - it seems like it never ends but the cosmetic stuff is all getting fixed, the house will end up looking extremely well presented.
Our private inspectors said overall the house is well constructed, no issues apart from some cosmetic corners being cut which of course we'll request gets done before close, but at this point nothing should be delaying us now...
