We had the first three hour appointment at the design studio this week. I thought it was a crazy amount of time, just for picking out some cabinets, tiles and tabs but I was schooled! Cindy is our design consultant and did an awesome job of guiding us through the options and keeping us on schedule.
The first task was the kitchen. Sounds simple but with the options and upgrades it was like being on a merry-go-round. We get the first upgrade from the standard just for building in Hasentree. Matt wanted to get the cushion close which meant upgrading another level to 2. Then we were in for a penny so in for a pound and decided to get the glazed doors. With the smokehouse hardwood floor that we picked, the granite chose itself (to our taste at least) and we were a little relieved it was not an upgrade! We are waiting for appliance upgrade pricing before we decide what will be going in.

Next was the bathroom. Slightly easier as the granite we wanted initially in the kitchen (that did not go with the floor and cabinets) was the first pick and everything else just came together. The picture is not picking up the gold/green tones in the granite.
We picked out the guest suite bathroom, then in the last few minutes, decided to use the same choices across the other 3.5 bathrooms.
